Ennismore Minor Hockey IP Experience-Brad Sinclair Flat Rate Realty

Last night was a bitter sweet night for my son. It was the last time he will be on the ice for this year's hockey season. Even though Lacrosse is right around the corner my son has fallen deeply in love with the sport of hockey.

At the beginning of the year Lucas was just starting his skating skills and still had a hard time standing up once he had fallen. The IP program started off with a skills and drills practice that took the kids and taught them the basics of skating. The men running the program were all local fathers that took their time with the kids. With my son they quickly identified a few issues with his skating and holding of the stick and corrected them.

For skills and drills the ice was usually spit into 5 sections and different skills were introduced and worked on. Above was foot work skills with soccer ball.

Ennismore is a busy arena so we also practiced at the Omemee Arena

The kids were split to make 4 even teams. This made the perfect league to play against each other. This was picture day practice. Lots of excited kids all in the same colour jersey.

This brought back my memories of starting out in hockey in Ennismore

Practice with dedicated coaches

Game action

By the end of the year you could not believe how quickly these kids were skating end to end, shooting and playing goal. It was truly exciting and amazing. All the credit goes to the coaches and players.

We had just a time and I would like to thank the coaches, coordinators and executive for providing such a great experience for my child.
